Upon our arrival under the bright Guadeloupe sunshine, a coach will take us to the cruise ship port Pointe à Pitre in only 20 minutes. At the port, we will embark on a catamaran to a paradise where we will be greeted by the West Indies people, their smiles and their nicest beaches. After you unpack and settle into your hotel room, the rest of this first day will be yours to enjoy—at the swimming pool or bathing in the sea, before experiencing your first night in paradise. Marie-Galante: the island is now yours…Days 2 to 7 (6 days and 6 nights at the hotel)
From the hotel site, the peaceful biking paths will lead you to discover the island and feel life as it was thirty years ago. More adventurous travellers might want to take the liberty of discovering this charming island at their own pace with a map. For those who would rather contemplate their surroundings, we offer daily excursions to the heart of West Indies culture. Breakfasts are served every morning by the swimming pool; lunches and dinners are left to clients’ choice and expense. You will thus enjoy total freedom: you may decide to embark on your own journey and further discover this paradise island, or you may prefer to sunbathe on the beach. Everyday you may enjoy wandering through nature, exploring the Amazonian forest, or letting yourself drift along the turquoise waves as you scuba dive or snorkel in the ocean. The choice is yours whether you want to explore this romantic country at your own pace or bargain for your fruits and vegetables at the market. Make the most of your vacation by interacting with the vibrant and proud West Indies people who will introduce you to their island culture. Everything will charm you: the nights at the hotel, the swimming pool, the relaxing ambiance, the ocean’s lullaby, and the tropical bird songs at night. We board a cruise catamaran from Marie-Galante to Guadeloupe where a coach takes us to Pointe à Pitre Airport in 20 minutes. There is still time to bid a last farewell to Guadeloupe’s flowers, pleasant warmth, singing birds and banana trees before taking the flight back to Quebec.
